What’s blooming at Acres Supply this January?
As the crisp January air settles over the countryside, things are far from quiet here at Acres Supply. Behind the scenes, we’re hard at work, making sure your garden, aquatic, and wildlife needs are fulfilled in the months ahead. Let’s take a peek at what’s happening this month…
We’re thrilled to announce that 2025 will bring some exciting changes to our garden and aquatic centre including a new house plant section so keep your eyes peeled when you visit!
Natural food becomes scarce during the winter, we stock a wide variety of bird food to help you keep your garden’s feathered friends happy and healthy. From seed blends to suet treats, we’ve got everything you need to support your local wildlife this season.
Even though the gardens may be resting, we’re busy preparing for the warmer months. This month alone, we’ve received three Arctic truckloads of compost, including peat-free and organic options, to keep you going all season long!
Our poly tunnel is being washed down and disinfected, ensuring it’s clean and ready for the year ahead.
Delicate, soft perennial plants have been cut back, brought under cover, and wrapped up warm in winter fleece and we’re pruning, feeding, and repotting our shrubs, hedging, and trees ready for the season ahead.
Our seed potatoes are ordered and set to arrive in late February and the 2025 Mr Fothergill’s seed range is now on display, ready for you to choose from. Whether it’s vibrant flowers or hearty vegetables, we’ve got you covered.
In our aquatic centre pre-season fish foods and coming in and being stacked on the shelves and an exciting new breeding project is being set up behind the scenes as well so stay tuned!
We can’t wait to welcome you in-store to see all these wonderful updates. Whether you’re here for garden essentials, bird food, aquatic supplies, or just a friendly chat, we look forward to seeing you soon!
