First appearing in Essex in 1949, 'Discovery' (Malus domestica 'Discovery') is the result of a cross between the apple varieties 'Worcester Pearmain' x 'Beauty of Bath'. Very pretty bright red flushed apples which are crisp and juicy and with a hint of strawberry make this a highly popular apple variety. An excellent early dessert apple with good disease resistance.
