- Iris like full sun or partial shade and an open soil with plenty of humus and good drainage
- Ideal for naturalising (leaving in for flowers year after year) in rockeries and edges of borders. Also suitable for containers
- Remove faded flowers and apply fertilizer 4-5 week after flowering. When clumps become too crowded, lift, divide and replant about 2 weeks after flowering
